七、計畫成果自評
本研究內容與原計畫目標中高度相符，目前也朝預期目標：中英文研討會與中英文 期刊各一篇的方向努力。而研究的內容成果在學術與社會價值上，因新聞工作者薪資報 酬趨勢之影響因素，在國內外相關研究均較缺乏，因此本研究可若干彌補此不足，並從 整體多面向，如政治經濟、社會文化因素，產業表現、產業市場結構、勞動市場、以及 科技作用等層面，來探討新聞記者薪資變化之趨勢與相關影響，以及薪資趨勢對新聞產 製和新聞內容品質的可能作用。探究這些問題有助於我們思考科技對新聞勞動以及新聞 勞動力的作用、產業與市場因素對新聞勞動權的威脅、並督促我們反省台灣新聞產業之 發展問題，及思考在民主政治體系對多元和高品質新聞產業之需求下，我們應如何擘劃 台灣新聞產業的發展前景。
總結且具體而言，本研究對於學術研究、國家社會發展預期之貢獻包括：
1.記者的勞動條件和薪資待遇與新聞產業整體新聞表現及其健全發展深深相關，新 聞產業的健全也影響民主政治之有效運作與公民社會之健康活力。然而台灣對於影響新 聞記者薪資水準因素之相關研究缺乏，近年在新聞工作者勞動條件與薪資水平迅速惡化，
並落後於其他相關產業之趨勢下，本研究認為探索此一現象之原因有其必要，除提醒問 題之重要性以保障新聞品質、記者勞動權與專業自主外，也計畫從問題中找到根本原因，
進一步作為思索相關解決或改善之道的基礎。
2.本研究較完整地呈現台灣新聞記者薪資水準變化之重要因素，並進而藉此反省台 灣新聞產業發展與市場競爭之問題、限制與困境。個人的即政治的，記者個人經濟生活 遭遇的現實，相當程度也反映了台灣新聞產業發展困境，因此研究成果可作為政策與主 管單位思索新聞產業問題時之參考。

3.此研究也有助於我們理解新傳播資訊科技對新聞勞動以及新聞勞動力的作用，以 及產業與市場因素對新聞勞動權的可能威脅，進而尋思預防與解決之道。
4.本研究也關注記者薪資下降趨勢對新聞產製以及新聞內容品質的影響，而這也是 我們關懷記者薪資問題的主要原因之一，因為新聞品質與民主社會的多元性及健全運作 息息相關。
5.更重要的，研究成果也期望引領出對改善目前台灣新聞記者薪資困境的解決之道 之討論，並希望能凝聚或提煉出若干具實務可行性的建議改善之道。
