Based on the research findings and limitations in this study, several suggestions for future research are as follows.
First, future research should explore other industry, or compare the differences between western organizations and eastern organizations to generalize the results of this study.
Second, future study could use supervisory and peer ratings or objective indicators of performance (e.g. monthly products sold) to get more clearly and directly to warrant the linkages among job stress, emotional intelligence, and job performance.
