Based on interview with the Aceh government it can be concluded that:

- There is lack coordination between related department/agencies into implement the program in this area.

- The main problems are limited funding to improve the area condition.

- Different perception between government and community due to lack coordination among both parties.

- Lack of community awareness related several issues i.e. environmental problem.

Thus the above inferred the government side, while the people also have a different perception of the government. For more details can be seen from the table below (Table 13) of the similarities and differences between both parties:

The table above has shows the persistence of the gap between the government and the public. This is probably related to the different opinion and the lack of coordination

86

between the government and the community in implementing the program, and it is strongly recommended that linear cooperation between both parties should establish through independent group which represent both parties and other stakeholders in order to success the revitalization program (Figure 58).

Figure 58: Coordination chart between Government, Community and Stakeholders

The independent group will consist of representatives from government, the community and stakeholders and they will have responsibility to control the revitalization process. By establishing this group it is expected that will be common perception within the parties hence the revitalization program will be implemented successfully.
