EXPLANATORY NOTES
!
Glossary
Health care establishment : Medical establishment with technical autonomy and administrative independence.
A health care establishment may provide in-patient services and furnished with hospital beds or other medical care services.
According to the type of services provided, health care establishments are classified into two categories:
a ) Hospital Care: a health care establishment with human and technical resources to provide specialized medical treatment with in-patient and out-patient facilities for the sick or the injured.
b ) Primary Health Care: a health care establishment where non-specialized basic health care services are provided for the sick and the injured.
Persons engaged : Permanent staff (including part-time employees) working in a health care establishment. Staff employed under temporary contracts to undertake specific tasks for a certain period of time are excluded.
