Students From Six Universities Talk Biology at HKUST
Cancer research, the Chinese white dolphin population, Hong Kong's coral communities, pollution in the Mai Po marshes and the growth rate of abalone are just some of the topics to be discussed by nearly one hundred postgraduate students from six Hong Kong universities on 19 October.
Research in cell, molecular, marine, environmental and general biology will be presented at the Joint University Biology Symposium, to be held at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology on 19 October, from 9 am to 6:30 pm.
Students in biology and related disciplines from Hong Kong University of Science and
Technology, the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University will take part.
The Symposium is financially supported by the Department of Biology, School of Science, Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Institute of Environmental Science at
HKUST, the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre, the Marine Biological Association of Hong Kong and five biotechnology companies in Hong Kong.
