This paper describes a highly interactive virtual reality orthopedic surgery simulator. The simulator can section, reposition and join volume-represented structures. By these
functions, the simulator allows surgeons to use various surgical instruments to operate on virtual bones for simulating every procedure of complex orthopedic surgeries.
