The Chinese Lunar New Year is always full of joy and excitement, and is the most important day of the year for the Chinese.

The Chinese Lunar New Year falls on February 19, 2015. Do you know what people do to see off the old year? They do a big house cleaning to get rid of the old and bring in the new, and paste red spring couplets on the door to avoid evil spirits and welcome good things.

On New Year’s Eve the whole family gets together for a big dinner. Everyone hand out red envelopes and stays up all night to see the new year in.

Redwood are the biggest trees on Earth. Most of them grow in

California, USA. In one place, many redwoods grow in a park. People go there to see the trees.
