- The general unemployment rate was 2.2% and the unemployment rate of local residents was 3.1%, up by 0.1 and 0.2 percentage points respectively from the previous period (January-March 2020). The underemployment rate grew by 1.3 percentage points to 2.1%.

- The general labour force participation rate was 70.0% and the labour force participation rate of local residents was 62.9%, both down by 0.5 percentage points over the previous period.

- Total employment was 394,200 and the number of employed residents totalled 277,900, down by 3,200 and 2,300 respectively from the previous period.

Number of the unemployed was 8,900, an increase of 400.
