- The general unemployment rate (1.7%) and the unemployment rate of local residents (2.3%) held steady from the previous period (January-March 2019).

Meanwhile, the underemployment rate was 0.5%, up by 0.1 percentage point.

- The general labour force participation rate was 70.0% and the labour force participation rate of local residents was 63.5%, down by 0.4 and 0.5 percentage points respectively over the pervious period.

- Total employment was 385,300 and the number of employed residents totalled 280,100, down by 1,800 and 1,900 respectively from the previous period.

Number of the unemployed was 6,600, up by 100.
