Johnny Bond Gold Tooth 008 PG-13 103 mins
My rating:
Director: Steve Bean
Cast: Daniel Allen, Jessica Smith, Scott Jones Language: English, some Chinese
Johnny Bond is a very famous and handsome spy. The latest film is the eighteenth in the 008 series. I looked forward to this film a lot as it has been four years since the last 008 film.
The story begins in Hong Kong. Johnny is in a restaurant quietly enjoying congee when someone tries to shoot him with a gun. Who is it and why does he want to kill him? After a thrilling car chase, Johnny catches the man.
That is just the start of the story. The action quickly moves to Beijing, and then to San Francisco. Johnny goes through many adventures: he fights a gang with guns, swims with a shark in the sea, and finds a dangerous snake in his bed. I was amazed by the acting.
Finally, clever Johnny finds out who the men trying to kill him are. You will be very surprised by the answer!
Apart from action, there are also some funny scenes where Johnny meets a cute panda. There is also some romance when Johnny meets a beautiful female spy.
Steve Bean, who has directed two previous 008 films, has done an excellent job again. The plot was exciting and I never felt bored. The only problem was that it was too short! It was 100 minutes long but it was so good that I wished it was longer.
