5.6 非華語學生及新來港兒童

5.6.2 支援新來港兒童

• 新來港兒童在新環境下所面對的日常用語、教學語言及學校課程都非常不同,

可能難以適應本地學校的生活與學習模式。為照顧新來港兒童的學習需要,學 校可採取以下校本支援措施:

- 學校可視乎情況提供中英文等課程的補習班。

- 新來港兒童在某些科目的表現可能較好,在某些科目則可能表現稍遜,可 以提供適異性的校本課程,以切合他們的需要、興趣和能力。

- 可以使用校本支援計劃津貼購買額外的教具及資源。

- 可以進一步推廣電子學習,讓學生(包括新來港兒童)能夠按自己的進度 及能力水平學習。

• 教育局為新來港兒童(包括內地新來港兒童、非華語兒童及回流兒童),提供 各類支援服務。

- 全日制「啟動課程」

新來港兒童可選擇在入讀主流學校前,先行修讀「啟動課程」。「啟動課 程」為期六個月,屬全日制課程,目的是在新來港兒童到主流學校上課前,

為他們提供實際的本地課堂學習經驗,幫助他們盡快適應本地社會,並促 進個人發展。

- 適應課程

如新來港兒童選擇入讀主流學校,他們可同時修讀適應課程。適應課程由 非政府機構開辦,為期 60 小時。目的是幫助新來港兒童,解決在本地教育 制度下學習初期會遇到的適應及學習困難。

- 校本支援計劃津貼

對於取錄新來港兒童的公營學校及直資學校,他們可運用校本支援計劃津 貼,為新來港兒童開辦校本支援課程,幫助學生盡快融入本地的教育制度。

學校可靈活運用這些津貼,開辦校本支援課程,如開設補習班及籌辦迎新 活動、輔導課程、課外活動及探訪活動等。

- 新來港兒童之入學安排

新來港兒童的家長可到教育局轄下之香港島、九龍、新界東及新界西的區 域教育服務處尋求協助,安排他們的子女入學。
