第五章 結論與建議
5.2 未來研究建議
本研究礙於時間、人力等因素，無法針對OA之發展與引用優勢相關議題進行 深入及全面性的探討，因此，仍有許多未臻完善之處，尚待後續研究者持續進行 研究調查，以提出更完整之研究結果，對此提出以下幾項建議，供後續研究者參 考：
一、 擴大研究範圍之深度與廣度
圖書館訂購之付費電子期刊的範圍廣泛，本研究僅選取定價在各該領域金額 前 20%的 600 篇理工類電子期刊作為研究對象，由於樣本數有限，為增加研究之 精確度，建議未來之研究可增加取樣的樣本數。
不同學科領域具有不同的學術傳播模式，其 OA 發展與引用情況亦有所差異，
而國外相關文獻亦指出不同學科領域 OA 的引用優勢截然不同（Antelman, 2004;
Norris, Oppenheim, & Rowland, 2008b），難以一概而論，建議後續可針對不同 學科領域進行相關研究，如：商管或人文社會等，藉由其他學科領域的探討研究，
可將結果進一步比較與驗證，以提供圖書館規劃、整理與推廣 OA 期刊的知識基 礎與參考。
二、 研究學術文獻引用 OA 的比例
為瞭解電子期刊館藏的經濟效益，對其進行使用評估是最直接的方法，然而 探討圖書館期刊的使用不能只用一種方法，因為每一種方法各有其優缺點，最好 採取多種方法，所得資訊可以互補，整合所有資訊可對某份期刊在館藏中的價值 提供更完整的觀察。本研究從圖書館的角度，瞭解訂購之付費期刊不同時期OA發 展的演變與引用情況，但由於OA的迅速發展，公開發表的學術文獻中，OA文獻的 引用比例應有大幅的上升，但是迄今尚無較具權威性的研究成果發佈，建議可從 使用者的觀點，經由分析教師、研究人員、博碩士生論文著作或學術出版品中，
所列出的引文或參考書目中抽絲剝繭，從不同領域、不同發表年度或不同語言等 多個面向來進行統計與分析，以瞭解相關研究者對於OA文獻引用的比例，以及館 藏被利用的情況。
三、 探討影響 OA 引用優勢之相關因素
OA 發展至今，隨著國外針對 OA 影響係數或引用狀況等相關重要研究成果陸 續的發表，在某個層面上亦反映出國際社會對於 OA 議題的關注有日益上升的趨 勢，此外，國外研究亦對於影響 OA 引用優勢的相關因素提出諸多探討，例如：
OA 對那些無法使用付費文獻的讀者而言，提供了一個新的存取管道，即所謂的 OA 優勢（Open Access Advantage）；或某些文章在出版之前即可免費取得，以 至於有較長的時間吸引潛在的讀者，提高能見度與被引用的機會，此即為早期優 勢（Early Advantage）；另一種自我選擇偏好（Self-Selection bias）或稱品質優 勢（Quality Advantage）則是因為作者或許較樂意將其優秀的文章公開分享，其 他可能原因，包括文章出版後的年數、文章作者的數量、期刊的影響力和作者或 其機構的學術地位等。然而截至目前為止，學術社群對於以上可能因素的看法與 研究結果仍莫衷一是，尚未有所定論（Davis & Fromerth, 2006; Norris, Oppenheim,
& Rowland, 2008b），建議後續研究可針對此議題進行更加深入的探索。
