第三節 研究限制與未來研究建議

一、研究限制

(一) 調查方法的改進

本研究在內外向人格特質調查部分僅使用量表去測量,雖然在語意上已盡量 保持中性,然不一定可測量出真正的內外向人格特質,建議未來增加他種研究方 法來使人格特質部分測量更為真確。另外在使用行為方面也是同樣問題,僅詢問 受訪者的使用頻率,建議未來可以利用如互動網絡的結構研究或直接紀錄使用行 為的方式,客觀記錄使用行為,更深入了解 Facebook 的人際互動方式,以求更 了解內外向人格特質的 Facebook 使用行為。

(二)樣本代表性不足

本研究受限於研究資源,問卷調查對象僅以大學生為主,並沒有確實反映出 Facebook 母體狀況,雖然以全台灣大學為母體,隨機抽取北、中、南與東四所 大學為樣本,讓本研究的調查具有一定效度,但仍無法全然解決代表性不足,以 致於可能產生效度不足的疑慮。

二、未來研究建議

(一) 針對內向特質個人的 Facebook 使用動機與行為進行調查

雖然本研究結果發現 Facebook 主要是外向特質使用者的活動場域,但不代 表內向特質使用者不會去使用 Facebook。建議未來研究針對內向特質使用者進 行深度訪談調查,以了解其 Facebook 使用動機與行為狀況,讓內外向人格特質 與 Facebook 使用相關研究更為完整。

(二) 針對內外向人格特質的網路使用進行多樣網路場域的比較

社交維持假說與社交補償假說在內外向人格特質的網路使用動機與行為研 究已出現多時,本研究發現在 Facebook 網路場域中閱聽眾的行為比較支持社交

維持假說,然那僅是在 Facebook 場域中的結果,並不代表內向特質的使用者不 利用網路進行友誼關係的維繫。Amichai-Hamburger(2010)認為內外向特質個 人皆會利用網路進行人際互動,以滿足個人的人際互動需求,只是選擇的場域不 同。然此結論目前尚未有研究證實,因此建議未來研究可調查各種人際互動的網 路場域中內外向特質個人是否真有不同的使用動機、行為與頻率,以證明「社交 維持假說」與「社交補償假說」確實共同存在,只是場域不同的研究說法。
