Mid-Autumn Festival Gathering
A Mid-Autumn Festival Gathering was held on 15 Sep. During the Gathering, traditional folk story on the origin of the Mid-Autumn Festival was shared among residents, and popular celebrations related to the Mid-Autumn Festival like Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance and Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnivals were introduced. Residents chatted with each other about the special traditions in their hometown and played festival riddles together.
Home Visit
“Home Visits” were carried out by our Staff Advisor Miss Stephanie JIN on 26 and 27 Oct respectively. During the Visits, issues like residents’ feelings, concerns, questions and suggestions regarding living in the rented
apartments were discussed. A “Home Visit Survey” was conducted to find out the residents’ needs and opinions on OCHS services. Residents’ feedback on our services was
generally satisfactory. Many of them expressed appreciation towards the visit and activities we had held for them. Below are some major issues which were raised and discussed during the Visit:
Q: Can I have more face to face interactions with OCHS staff?
A: Of course we are glad to meet residents in and out of our office. If you need general assistance on off- campus
housing, you can make an appointment by emailing to offcamphouse@ust.hk for a face to face meeting with our
Staff Advisor. We also organize all kinds of activities, like talks, visits, flat viewing tours, gatherings from time to time. Stay tuned to our mass email and sign up for the activities to interact with our staff and other residents as well.
Q: Is it possible to add the regular cleaning frequency from once a month to twice a month?
A: By launching the Cleanliness Campaign, we encourage residents to set up their own cleaning schedule and duties among housemates/roommates apart from regular cleaning. Meanwhile we have manpower and checking system to assure the quality of cleaning service. Residents are welcome to let us know if you have enquiries on current cleaning service.
