A Study on Family Support and Cross-cultural Adjustment of Foreign Spouses 潘玉珍、顏昌華

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is about family support and cross-culture adjustment of foreign spouses, and further explored the relationship between them. We got altogether 248 valid samples by questionnaire survey of the cluster sampling method. The Independent variable is family support, the dependant variable is cross-cultural ad-justment. The research was analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Following is statistics the results:
Cognitive support is higher than others, tangible support and emotional support, the foreign spouses feeling degree. The family support was obviously varied for the foreign spouses based on the differences of the educational background and cultural difference.
The highest in cross-culture adjustment are the diet and the manners and customs improvement, and the lowest are together with the parents-in-law and the work demand. Significant differences of cross-culture adjustment are displayed in differences of the education background and cultural difference.
Therefore, the higher family supports required more cross-culture adjustment.
The findings of the research could provide suggestions for the social welfare organization, educational administration, family member, and for the references of further correlative researches.
