I. Goals and Objectives

1. The main goal of the course is to provide students with the language and life skills necessary to pursue business-related career goals. Through language practice based in real- world situations, this integrated skills approach builds confidence and motivates students towards successful careers.

2. The secondary goal is to provide students with related international business issues to discuss in class and share their thoughts.

II. Requirement

You are expected to do three things:

1. Attend class, complete reading assignments, and participate in class discussions. This course has both discussion and lecture components. An introduction for the reading assignment in the textbook will be given first. Students are required to preview the text in advance.

2. Group Presentation: You are supposed to take part in 4 group presentation based on the topic designed.

3. Weekly presentation: each student will be required to present one topic from “Business in Voc” and explain all vocs and expressions as well as make comments on the issue.

III. Grades and Attendance Policies

1. Your Grades will be based on class discussions, presentations, quizzes, and final examination.

a. Class discussion , Quizzes, and Assignment: 30%

b. Class Presentation: 40%

c. Final Exam:25 %

2. You are expected to be mature and professional than before. 100 % attendance is expected. Up to 6-hour excused absence is acceptable because of irresistible reasons. 6- hour excused and unexcused absence will result in a failure of the course.
