In Paper 27.6, National Cheng Kung University proposes background capacitor-current-sensor (CCS) calibration and ADC-based CCS techniques for a buck converter to precisely accelerate load-transient response. Fabricated in a 0.18μm CMOS process with an active area of 1.8mm2, this chip has the smallest undershoot/overshoot voltage with 2.2× faster settling speed and achieves 6× faster calibration compared with other state of the art.
