WP1: Coupled hydro-mechanical analysis on triggering of catastrophic landslides;

A hypothesis of landslide triggering due to rainfall and groundwater flow is proposed, where the first stage of analytical framework has been achieved. Based on experimental observation of soil column, a simple coupled model is developed that uses a Darcy’s-law- like approach to describe the water infiltration and interstitial gas transport. This simplistic model may capture the impact of the rainwater infiltration on the groundwater zone, and illuminates the plausibility of answers to the occurrence of some specific deep-seated landslides in part. In addition, a large simple shear testing system is under fabrication to simulate the subsurface soil mass on a sloping failure surface. The system is capable of performing different hydraulic and mechanical conditions to study the hydro-mechanical responses of catastrophic landslide triggering. The results may provide verification cases for analytical and numerical analyses.

WP2: The mechanism of catastrophic landslide movement;

A numerical model of landslide movement is completed in this research, include the SOP of the simulation, parameter calibration and verification. Therefore, influence range of landslide

movement can be analysis by the numerical model. In the model, the effect of the rainfall event could be identify with the fine sediment ratio, water content and porosity. There are three condition were consider in this research. The result shows that the numerical model could be a useful tools for the influence area identification of the catastrophic landslide.

李博士的專業背景為水利工程,他非常熟悉水文分析、土砂分析及災害管理,為本計畫推動的關鍵人員之一。此外,他超過 10 年於成大防災中心擔任主管的經驗,非常有效率的帶動團隊進行研究,無論是成果產出或是進度管控都有很好的品質。

(3)受延攬人之研究或教學或科技研發與管理成果對該計畫(或貴單位)助益如何?

本計畫共有四個子計畫,其中兩個子計畫為深層崩塌發生機制研究和深層崩塌災害影響範圍評估,基於李博士超過 10 年水文 分析、土砂分析和災害管理的經驗,協助解決本計畫執行推動過程中的實務課題,其助益匪淺。

經過李博士的工作參與,於深層崩塌發生機制研究上,已經提出一套物理模型來解釋深層崩塌發生現象,而在影響範圍評估 上,利用既有模式和國內外常用經驗式,綜合出一套評估流成,為本計畫產出豐碩成果。
