 The overall residential property price index increased by 0.4% over the previous period (June - August 2020); the indices for the Macao Peninsula and Taipa & Coloane both rose by 0.4%.

 The index for existing residential units went up by 0.1%, with the indices for those in the Macao Peninsula and Taipa & Coloane rising by 0.1% and 0.2% respectively. Analysed by year of building completion, the indices for residential units built between 6 and 10 years ago and for those completed in 5 years or less increased by 1.6% and 0.6% respectively. Meanwhile, the index for pre-sale residential units grew by 1.5%.

 In comparison with July - September 2019, the overall residential property price index and the index for existing residential units increased by 0.5%

and 0.6% respectively, whereas the index for pre-sale residential units fell by 0.4%.

• With respect to usable floor area, the indices for residential units with a usable floor area between 75 and 99.9 square metres and for those with a floor area of less than 50 square metres increased by 1.0% and 0.7% respectively, while the index for residential units with a floor area of 100 square metres or more fell by 0.2%.

• In terms of high- and low-rise buildings, the indices for residential units of buildings with seven storeys or less and for those with more than seven storeys showed respective growth of 0.3% and 0.2%.

• The overall residential property price index in the third quarter of 2020 grew by 1.1% from the second quarter. The indices for existing residential units and pre-sale residential units rose by 1.2%

and 1.0% respectively.

• The index for existing residential units in the Macao Peninsula went up by 1.2% quarter-to-quarter; the indices for those in Parish of São Lázaro and Parish of Sé increased by 4.2% and 2.4% respectively, whereas the index for those in Parish of São Lourenço decreased by 7.0%.
