Chapter 6. Conclusions and Future Works

We have introduced a “modified” version of Q-PFA and a power control

algorithm for wireless forward link data services. Each packet scheduling policy we

proposed has some benefit over the original Q-PFA. These methods are mainly

designed to obtain more accurate estimates of monitored throughput and make better

use of multiuser diversity effect. With many performance features, our proposed PPC

scheme will give a new perspective on antenna power management.

We leave for future study the issues on proportional fairness that takes into

account mobility and antennae selection.
