This is a two-semester course designed for the third-year OT students who are interested in conducting experiments. This course is student-centered, and provides an opportunity for a deeper understanding in a specific research area. The course in the first semester will focus on the development of a research proposal. Students will be guided to go through different phases of proposal development and are required to write a research proposal by the end of the first semester. In the second semester, students will be guided to conduct an experiment based on the proposal they have developed in the first semester.

Students are required to submit their abstracts for a conference and to submit their paper to a peer-reviewed journal.

Prerequisites

Students who are interested in taking this course must have taken the Biostatistics (生物 統計學) and Introduction to Research Methods (研究方法概論), or have the consent of the instructor.
