Invitation to Schools to Submit Funding Application in the 2022/23 School Year and Participate in Solution Day
Purpose
The purpose of this circular memorandum is to invite publicly-funded secondary schools to submit applications for funding under the IT Innovation Lab in Secondary Schools (IT-Lab) Programme in the 2022/23 school year, and enrol for the IT-Lab solution day to be held on 24 September 2022.
Details
2. The IT-Lab Programme was launched since 1 December 2020. As of August 2022, more than 370 schools submitted funding applications for the programme.
Schools can submit funding applications in the 2022/23 school year through the following link (https://eform.one.gov.hk/form/ogc007/en/). For details of the Programme and application procedures, please refer to the programme website (https://www.it-lab.gov.hk/en/index.php).
3. In order to introduce a wider variety of IT related ECAs solutions to the principals and teachers, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) will organise a solution day on 24 September 2022. For details of the solution day, please refer to the Appendix.

IT Innovation Lab in Secondary Schools Programme
Invitation to Submit Funding Application in the 2022/23 School Year and Participate in the Solution Day
Purpose & Details
The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) launched a three-year IT Innovation Lab in Secondary Schools Programme since December 2020.
The programme aims to foster an IT learning atmosphere at school and enhance student’s innovative abilities, thereby promoting local popular science education and expanding the supply of innovation and technology talent and meet the needs of a technology-driven society. Each publicly-funded secondary school can apply for a funding of up to $1 million from OGCIO to organise IT-related ECAs, and procure IT equipment or professional services required for the ECAs. OGCIO cordially invites all publicly-funded secondary schools to join and submit funding applications for the IT Innovation Lab in Secondary Schools Programme in the 2022/23 school year.

2. In view of the overwhelming responses of the previous solution day in June 2022, OGCIO will organise the solution day again in September 2022 to introduce IT-related ECAs solutions and other reference information to schools. Schools interested in submitting the application are welcome to enrol. Details of the solution day are as follows:
