The Research of Constructing the School-based Curriculum Evaluation Indicators in the Health and Physical Education Learning Area
Abstract
The purpose of the research was to construct the School-based curriculum evaluation indicators in the Health and Physical Education Area. Through the research process, the document analysis and Delphi Technique were adopted to attain the evaluation indicators which included 4 categories, 12 dimensions and 84 items.
The contents of School-based curriculum evaluation indicators' categories, dimensions and items were as follows:
1. The categories of curriculum evaluation indicators should include curriculum planning, curriculum designing, curriculum implementation, curriculum effect and feedback. 2. The dimensions of curriculum evaluation indicators were:
a. Research publicity and profession training, organization establishment and member participation, network analysis and curriculum development were included under the curriculum planning category.
b. Operation of curriculum designing group, the goals and target of curriculum programs, teaching resources and assessment were included under the curriculum designing category.
c. Pre-research and teaching preparation, teaching execution and examination, self-observation and conference contingency were included under the curriculum implementation category.
d. Teacher satisfaction, learning effect satisfaction, evaluation result and feedback application were included under the curriculum effect and feedback category. 3. The items of curriculum evaluation indicators were:
a. There are 6 items under the research publicity and profession training dimension, 8 items under the organization establishment and member participation dimension, and 8 items under the network analysis and curriculum development dimension.
b. There are 6 items under the operation of curriculum designing group dimension, 10 items under the goals and target of curriculum programs dimension, and 10 items under the teaching resources and assessment dimension.
c. There are 7 items under the pre-research and teaching preparation dimension, 9 items under the teaching execution and examination dimension, and 3 items under the self-observation and conference contingency dimension.
d. There are 4 items under the teacher satisfaction dimension, 6 items under the learning effect satisfaction dimension, and 7 items under the evaluation result and feedback application dimension.
