近些年來,因為分子生物學的進步,科學家們可以將控制各種性狀的基因自生物體內直接分離出來,
經過實驗室的操作將其連接到所謂的基因載體(vector)之後,再藉由基因轉殖(transformation)的方式,送 入我們所選定的植物體內。因為此一程序並不經過有性繁殖的授精過程,所以理論上我們可跨越種間不 和合的障礙,將無論是選殖(clone)自動物、植物、微生物、乃至病毒的有用基因送入植物體內表現,並進 而縮短整個育種流程的時間。本課程將依序介紹目前使用的植物基因轉殖方法及原理,以及其在基礎分 子生物學和作物育種上的應用。
