第三節 研究限制與未來建議
一、本研究設計為橫斷式，無法得知變項間的因果關係，且樣本侷限於北部，恐 忽略不同地區或不同醫院的樣本差異，若欲推論或應用到其他地區或醫院應 格外小心。
二、本研究次分類樣本數皆未達檢力要求，無法比較男女、收案來源、不同藥物 等分類於主要變項的現況差異。
三、本研究樣本群皆為重鬱症患者，無健康人族群可供對照，無法得知主要變項 在健康人口的狀況，進而比較何為重鬱症患者才有的獨特現象。
四、本研究為量性研究，僅能呈現問卷面與統計上的意義，難呈現個案與親密伴 侶間之自我內在依附關係如何影響其與他人之社會關係。
針對上述研究限制，對未來研究建議如下：
一、可採縱貫式研究設計以釐清其間的因果關係，並擴大樣本數、增加收案場所 與地區，以獲得台灣本土重鬱症患者的情形。
二、建議針對不同對象、增設對照組來比較不同對象間的憂鬱程度、親密關係、
性功能與生活品質之差異。
三、以質性研究深入探討並重現個案實際面臨的困難、經驗與歷程。
