本研究證實中風後所造成之認知功能缺損可以經由電針治療改 善。由於認知功能又包含很多次項目,這些功能單獨表現代表的是較為 低階的認知功能,不同的組合則會形成較高階與複雜的認知功能。本研 究結果發現電針對於改善較為低階的認知功能(例如:Orientation , Perception, Praxis, Memory)達到統計學上的意義。

受心理功能而影響之生活品質也有明顯的進步,其中語言能力表達 的改善是令生活滿意度增加的最大因素。

由於中風後的復健為現今社會醫療之一大課題,因此未來展望可有 以下四大方向:

(1) 本研究的個案數較少,未來可以繼續增加個案持續追蹤。希望能 有更大量之個案,可以依據其認知能力受損之程度加以分組做評 估比較。

(2) 評估工具上可以增加採用更為客觀(objective)之方式,例如 fMRI、局部腦血流量檢查(HMPAO-SPECT)以及血清學檢查(例如 superoxide dismutase, SOD 或是 lipid peroxide, LPO)。

(3) 進一步針對不同中風病患類型、病程、性別、年齡等因子,進行 更大規模之研究。

(4)以電針作為治療方式,比較中風後與阿茲海默症病患認知功能改 善情形。
