Today, students in Taiwan have to study English at a very early age. Yet, many children's English abilities rarely improve because they learn English only at school. The best way to learn English well, however, is to bring it into your daily life.

Learning English through music is effective. You can listen to the English songs you like many times, and you'll learn words and phrases from them. The more songs you listen to, the more English you learn.

Watching English movies on DVD is also a good method. When you watch the DVD for the first time, use the Chinese subtitles. You can enjoy the movie and understand what's

happening. Next, watch it again, but change the subtitles from Chinese to English. By reading the English words at the bottom of the screen, you will really learn a lot of "everyday" English.

It's just not enough to learn English in the classroom. If you want to improve your English ability, try to make it fun.

46. Which way of learning English is not mentioned in the article? (A) Reading newspapers with a dictionary.

(B) Learning English words while listening to English songs. (C) Learning conversation from DVDs.

49. Why does the article recommend English music and movies? (A) Studying English at school takes too much time.

(B) People need other ways to improve their English. (C) English is boring and difficult.

(D) Teachers should sometimes show good movies in class. (B) 50-52
