HKUST BUSINESS GRADUATES SCORE HIGH AGAIN IN JOBS SEARCH
About 90% of HKUST’s 1995 business graduates have successfully found jobs despite the economic slowdown which has led many firms to cut back their recruitment programmes.
According to a recent job market survey conducted in September by the School of Business & Management, of the 402 graduates who are now fully employed, 253 or 63% are with major firms.

“The overall quality of the jobs landed by our graduates remains very high. In fact, at some of the most prestigious companies, the number of jobs offered to our fresh graduates witnessed three or four-fold increases over last year,” said Dr Joseph Lian, Director of Undergraduate Programmes of SBM.
“We have quickly become a major player in the graduate job market. With an ever-improving business / economics curriculum, we hope to send out more and more high-calibre graduates to serve the local business community even better in the future,” continued Dr Lian.
A university-wide job market study, the Graduate Employment Survey conducted by the Student Affairs Office, is now under way and its results will be announced next spring.
