VISITOR ARRIVALS The number of visitor arrivals totalled 2,208,327 in July 2007, representing a year-on-year increase of 22.5%.

Visitors from Mainland China and Hong Kong registered growths of 24.2% and 21.1% respectively, whereas those from Taiwan, China dropped by 7.3%. Meanwhile, same- day visitors accounted for 52.0% of the total arrivals, at 1,149,072.

Among the Mainland visitors, 43.5% travelled to Macao under the Individual Visit Scheme, at 513,956.

In the first seven months of 2007, visitor arrivals reached 14,848,331, up by 21.5% over the same period of last year. Same-day visitors made up 52.5% of the total, at 7,790,088.

Visitor arrivals by sea increased by 14.0% to 4,953,191 over the first seven months of 2006. Meanwhile, arrivals by land grew by 26.3% to 9,073,759 and arrivals by air rose by 18.5% to 821,381.
