- The general unemployment rate (2.1%) and the unemployment rate of local residents (2.9%) went up by 0.2 and 0.3 percentage points respectively over the previous period (December 2019-February 2020). Meanwhile, the underemployment rate held steady at 0.8%.
- The general labour force participation rate remained unchanged from the previous period, at 70.5%; the labour force participation rate of local residents was 63.4%, down by 0.6 percentage points. Total employment increased by 6,500 to 397,400 whereas number of employed residents decreased by 3,200 to 280,200.

- Median monthly employment earnings of the employed decreased by MOP1,000 quarter-to-quarter to MOP16,000 in the first quarter, while that of the employed residents stayed the same at MOP20,000.
