- In the third quarter, the general unemployment rate (1.8%) and the unemployment rate of local residents (2.4%) stayed stable quarter-to-quarter.

- The general unemployment rate (1.8%) and the unemployment rate of local residents (2.4%) held stable as in the previous period (June-August 2018).
Meanwhile, the underemployment rate (0.4%) went down by 0.2 percentage points.
- The general labour force participation rate stood at 71.3% and the labour force participation rate of local residents was 65.2%, both up by 0.3 percentage points over the previous period. Total employment was 387,600 and employed residents totalled 285,300, up by 2,600 and 1,600 respectively.
