- The general unemployment rate (2.0%) and the unemployment rate of local residents (2.7%) held stable as in the previous period (June-August 2017).
- The general labour force participation rate (71.0%) and the labour force participation rate of local residents (65.1%) went down by 0.5 and 0.6 percentage points respectively over the previous period, while the underemployment rate (0.6%) went up by 0.1 percentage point. Total employment was 381,200 and employed residents totalled 281,200, down by 3,000 and 2,600 respectively.
- In the third quarter, the general unemployment rate (2.0%) and the unemployment rate of local residents (2.7%) remained unchanged from the previous quarter.
