- The general unemployment rate (1.9%), the unemployment rate of local residents (2.6%) and the underemployment rate (0.5%) decreased by 0.1 percentage point from the previous period (July-September 2017).

- The general labour force participation rate was 70.8% and the labour force participation rate of local residents was 64.8%, down by 0.2 and 0.3 percentage points respectively from the previous period.

- Total employment was 379,800 and number of employed residents totalled 279,900, down by 1,400 and 1,300 respectively. Number of the unemployed was 7,400, down by 300.
