QUARTER 2018

− Consumption of Electricity decreased by 11.1% quarter-to-quarter, with consumption by Establishments and by Households dropping by 11.1% and 9.3%

respectively. Consumption of Natural Gas and Fuel Oil for electricity generation plunged by 84.8% and 82.9% respectively owing to a 77.4% reduction in production of Electricity. Meanwhile, consumption of Liquefied Petroleum Gas rose by 14.7%.

− Imports of Electricity and Liquefied Petroleum Gas rose by 6.6% and 20.7% respectively quarter-to-quarter.

− Average selling prices of Unleaded Gasoline for Automotive Use, Gas Oil & Diesel for Automotive Use and Centralised Liquefied Petroleum Gas increased by 2.3%, 1.0% and 0.5% respectively quarter-to-quarter.

− Consumption of Energy decreased by 26.0% quarter-to-quarter, of which the proportion of Electricity rose by 9.9 percentage points while that of Fuel Oil dropped by 3.5 percentage points.
