“Knowing More About IT” Programme

of the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer Open for Application

Purpose

The purpose of this circular memorandum is to invite publicly-funded primary schools to submit applications for funding under the “Knowing More About IT” Programme in the 2021/22 school year and enrol for the online briefing cum sharing session to be held on 15 September 2021.

Details

2. The above programme will be open for application from 1 September 2021. Schools can submit application through the following link (https://www.it- lab.gov.hk/en/application_know-it.php). For details of the Programme and application procedures, please refer to the programme website (https://www.it-lab.gov.hk/en/index.php).

3. The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) arranged three briefing cum sharing sessions on the application details of the above Programme in late-June and early-July 2021. In view of the overwhelming responses, the OGCIO will organise another online briefing cum sharing session on 15 September 2021. Interested schools are invited to enrol on or before 10 September 2021. For details, please refer to the Appendix.

“Knowing More About IT” Programme Invitation to Submit Application and Participate Online Briefing and Sharing Session

Purpose & Details

The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) invites all publicly-funded primary schools to participate in the “Knowing More About IT” Programme and submit funding applications for the 2021/22 school year. Schools can submit application through the programme website (https://www.it-lab.gov.hk/en/index.php) starting from 1 September 2021.

2. In view of the overwhelming responses of the previous three briefing cum sharing sessions on application details in late-June and early-July 2021, OGCIO will organise another online briefing cum sharing session, and welcome enrollment from schools that have not participated before. Details of the online briefing cum sharing session are as follows:

Date & Time: 15 September 2021 (Wednesday) from 3 to 5 pm

Venue: Live webcast through Microsoft Teams (the web link of the webinar will be sent to the e-mail account provided and participants can join with the web browser)

Registration Deadline: 10 September 2021 (Friday)

Schools interested in joining the sharing session can find the tentative run down of the event at https://www.it-lab.gov.hk/en/seminars/2021/0915-Online-Sharing-ITLAB.php and enrol by completing the registration form at https://www.it-lab.gov.hk/en/enrol-202109.php.

Successful registration will be notified by email.
