For this 5 week period (June 23-July 31 2014) I was involved primarily in ongoing collaborative research with Dr. Yee-Shin Lin as well as graduate student MSc and PhD Defense examinations, specifically:

Collaborative research. I am involved in co-advising several ongoing research projects together with Dr. Y-S Lin.

These activities have resulted in the completion or preparation of the following manuscripts and/or presentations: 1. 本次來訪以在研究上的討論及參加碩博士班畢業論文口試為主,共計參加五場口試,修改學

生論文,並討論 paper submission,成效符合預期目標。

(2)研究或教學或科技研發與管理的方法、專業知識及進度如何?

What are the methods, professional knowledge, and progress of the research, teaching, or R&D and management work?

在研究上,主要研究主題為登革病毒以及 A 群鏈球菌之致病機制。2014 年已發表一篇期刊論

文,以及應邀撰寫 Dengue e-Book chapter,以 Focus on Taiwan 為主題,分享台灣經驗。另有

一篇期刊論文已進行修改目前是第二次的 minor revision,還有在投稿中的 manuscript。在指導

學生上,本次來訪共計參加五場碩博士班畢業論文口試,與學生進行討論並修改論文。

How have the research, teaching, or R&D and management results of the employed person given benefit to the project (or your unit)?

此密切的國際合作在傳染性疾病及訊息研究中心的登革病毒、細菌、及訊息傳遞研究有很大的

助益。參加博士班和碩士班研究生畢業論文口試,提供精闢的見解。對於研究生無論在研究上

以及英文寫作和口語能力的增強都提供極大助益,並且共同發表論文。

(4)受延攬人於補助期間對貴單位或國內相關學術科技領域助益如何?

How has the employed person, during his or her term of employment, benefited your unit or the relevant domestic academic field?

Dr. Robert Anderson 對於成大碩博士班研究生在學術研究上提供貢獻,擔任研究生的論文指

導委員,並且參加論文口試。本次並應邀在慈濟大學進行專題演講,講題為 ”Roles of mast

cells in dengue virus disease”。

1. 共同合作探討登革病毒以及 A 群鏈球菌之致病機制,對於登革疫苗研發提供策略。

2. 共同發表期刊論文以及 book chapter,並有 manuscripts 在送審或撰寫中。

3. 英文論文寫作的輔導。

4. 參加五場碩博士班畢業論文口試。
