- The general unemployment rate (1.9%) held stable as in the previous period (December 2017-February 2018); the unemployment rate of local residents (2.6%) increased slightly by 0.1 percentage point and the underemployment rate (0.6%) rose by 0.2 percentage points.
- The general labour force participation rate (70.6%) and the labour force participation rate of local residents (64.4%) went up by 0.4 and 0.3 percentage points respectively over the previous period. Total employment was 380,500 and employed residents totalled 280,100, up by 2,200 and 1,600 respectively.
- In the first quarter, the general unemployment rate (1.9%) remained unchanged from the previous quarter, while the unemployment rate of local residents (2.6%) increased slightly by 0.1 percentage point.
