*溝通功能及主題說明

1. Starter Unit 主要複習上一冊的內容-能詢問他人的位置並說出他正在進行的動作。另外延伸數字的學習,從 10~100。

2. Unit 1. How’s the Weather? -能詢問天氣的狀況並給予適切的回應及活動建議。在前面幾冊,學生已習得動詞加 ing 的 方式,這一單元將習得休閒活動片語 go V.ing。

3. Unit 2. Where are you going? –能詢問及回應他人前往地點,能詢問及適切的回應社區場所的位置。學生已在上一冊使 用過 where 的問句來詢問他人在家中的場所位置。

4. Unit 3. How Many Lions are There? – 能詢問他人看到的動物及其數量,並適切的回應他人詢問。學生已在三年級學會 簡單的寵物名稱,在這一單元將動物主題,延伸至野生動物。

5. Unit 4. What’s Wrong? –能詢問並適切的回應自己或他人的身體狀況。主題單字為身體部位及症狀名稱,句型回答時,

將延伸所有格代名詞的使用。

*Phonics 字母拼讀說明:上一冊主要學習區辨短母音與長母音(silent e)的拼讀練習,這一學期為 l 與 r 的區辨與拼讀練習,

另認識 h 的 consonant diagraphs. (th, ch, sh, ph, wh),以及 ng 和 nk。
