未來研究建議

老鼠是恙蟎的宿主，老鼠的多寡直接及間接影響到恙蟎的數量，後續 研究建議可以針對地區的鼠隻數量、鼠隻分佈及鼠隻帶蟎率、恙蟎種類等 進行辨別、監測及研究工作，以了解鼠隻及恙蟎在地區的情形，進而進行 滅鼠工作，降低恙蟎數。鼠隻及鼠隻身上所寄生之蜱、蝨除可感染恙蟲病 外，尚有鼠疫、漢他病毒症候群、鉤端螺旋體病、地方性斑疹傷寒等疾病 之延伸，若針對鼠隻及身上寄生物進行監測，將有助地區鼠隻等相關疾病 之防治。
