二、第十屆 ICML 會議內容
第十屆 ICML 由澳洲昆士蘭大學（University of Queensland）圖書館主辦， 大會在 2009 年 9 月 2 日至 9 月 4 日間於布里斯本會展中心（Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre）舉辦，在正式會議之前，大會在昆士蘭大學安排為期兩天 (8 月 31 日至 9 月 1 日)的繼續教育課程(共 11 個主題 22 門課程)，供與會者提早 到埠選擇參加。(見表 2)
此外，第六屆動物健康資訊專家國際會議（International Conference of Animal 3
Health Information Specialists ， ICAHIS ） 和 第 四 屆 臨 床 圖 書 館 員 國 際 會 議4 （International Clinical Librarian Conference，ICLC）也和 2009 的 ICML 合併舉 行，除可節約會議籌辦的人力物力之外，亦可聚集與會人氣。

三、參加 ICML 會議經過
筆者多年來擔任中華民國圖書館學會醫學圖書館委員會委員，對於我國醫學 圖書館界的發展之相關議題很有興趣，於 2008 年美國醫學圖書館學會（MLA） 年會發表臺灣醫學圖書館聯盟介紹之海報，2009 年再次與醫委員顧問卓玉聰老 師聯合在 ICML 發表“The development and future of the medical librarianship in Taiwan7“之海報。此次獲國科會國補助，自己一人前去出席此國際醫學圖書館界 的盛會，但由於時間與經費有限，因此 9 月 2 日上午抵達、5 日上午即搭機回國。
2009 年 9 月 2 日中午抵達會議場地 Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre，下午到會場報到領取名牌與資料袋；9 月 3 日上午到會場張貼參此次發 表的海報 ；9:00-10:00 聽取大會的 keynote speech “Evidence-based Medicine – is it working?”；10:30-12:00 參與“Consumer & patient health information” session，聽 取三位報告者的論文報告，並參與後續討論；中午 12:00-14:00 為大會的 poster viewing session ，筆者發表的海報屬主題四「專業發展」，編號 15，大會要求海 報發表人要在自己海報展示架旁與其他與會者交流，筆者除在現場與同道交流之 外，亦發放 handout 與名片；下午 14:00-15:00 為另一場的 keynote，題目為 “Fossilised knowledge? Libraries as repositories of knowledge in biomedical research in the cyberspace era” ; 之後 15:30-16:30 參與了”Clinical librarians” session，聆聽 了四埸報告，並參與討論。 由於筆者服務的臺北醫學大學明年正逢建校 50 週年，本校圖書館在校方的 支持之下爭取到 2010 年我國醫學圖書館工作人員研討會的主辦，所以此次與會 的時間雖然很短，但筆者也利用此機會結識同道，並邀請香港大學醫學圖書館與 雪梨大學醫學圖書館的主任明年前來台灣，擔任我們醫圖年會的演講嘉賓，雙方 取得初步同意，目前本館已進行後續的聯繫工作。

此次在大會安排在會前的教育訓練期間（8/31 -- 9/1）參訪澳洲昆士蘭地 區的大學圖書館與醫學圖書館，包括：昆士蘭州立圖書館（Queensland State Library）、布里斯本圖書館（Brisbane Square Library）、昆士蘭科技大學圖書 館（ Queensland University of Technology Library） 和昆士蘭大學圖書館 （University of Queensland Library）。8
由於筆者於大會開始後才到達，因此
無法參加大會官方安排的圖書館參觀活動。但筆者在 9/2 下午報到之後，自行 參觀了會場附近的 Brisbane cultural center，園區中設有昆士蘭州立圖書館、現 代藝術中心、自然科學博物館等。 昆士蘭州立圖書館是由昆士蘭州政府於 1902 年設立的，其主要任務是做 為該州圖書資源最主要的典藏地，包括具歷史價值的文件資料（documentary heritage）、重要參考與研究館藏。此外，該館也是昆士蘭地區推動公共圖書 館事業的負責單位。該館近年來進行重建與翻新工程，並在 2006 年於布里斯 班南岸的文化中心園區對大眾開放。本次工程不但翻新了於 1988 年所建的舊 圖書館建築，更擴建了兩倍以上的空間。2007 年該館新建築還獲選澳洲皇家 建築學會（Royal Australian Institute of Architects, RAIA）的„Building of the Year‟獎項。該館設立的 kuril dhagun Indigenous Knowledge Centre，可說是澳洲 全國州立圖書館的創舉；此外，其書庫系統（repository）可儲存超過 38 公里 長的館藏，並且設有一個 Conservation Lab 來維護該館珍貴的文代遺產9。筆者 認為昆士蘭州立圖書館的空間規劃很值得學習，其座落於 Brisbane river 南岸， 8 http://www.icml2009.com/program/lib_tours.html 9 http://www.slq.qld.gov.au/
靠河的那側全以落地玻璃來建設，因此視野與採光非常好；館內的傢俱亦經過 特別設計，有個人區與團體區，十分舒適且功能性佳；此外，兒童區的規劃也 相當貼心。比較特別的是，該館有一個特藏區，蒐集了很多讓民眾尋求家庭歷 史與族譜的資料，並整理了一系列三十多份的單張資料，說明相關資源的功用 與使用方式。 圖 4 昆士蘭州立圖書館外觀 圖 5 昆士蘭州立圖書館各樓層入口 五、與會心得和建議 ICML 是世界各國醫學圖書館工作人員的盛會，每四或五年才舉辦一次；規
劃精緻且規模龐大，與會者並可藉此與其他國家的同道建立起人際網絡。整個議 程的規劃包括會議前兩天的教育訓練與圖書館參訪活動場和三天的正式會議，此 外，亦安排了很 social networking event，包括早餐會、晚宴、會後與週未的文化 旅遊行程，讓與會者除了學術與實務上的學習之外，也有機會認識澳洲昆士蘭地 區的歷史與文化。但可能因為大會是以英文為主要語文，因此參與的圖書館員多 以英語系國家為主，東方臉孔相對比較少，因此呈現出來的內容較偏向西方世界 的狀況。 筆者此次參加的是 ICML 第十屆會議，下屆已決定於 2013 在美國的 Baltimore 與美國醫學圖書館學會（MLA）當年的年會合辦；MLA 的年會是臺灣 經費比較充裕的醫學圖書館會派員前往觀摩學習的會議，2013 年與 ICML 合辦 內容必定更加豐富與與多元。建議中華民國圖書館學會醫學圖書館委員會提早規 劃與宣傳，讓臺灣更多的醫學圖書館可以及早規劃參與，期望 2013 年能以代表 團的方式參加，多發表論文與海報，提高台灣的能見度，並與世界醫學圖書館界 分享我們的努力成果。
