HKUST Scientists Join International Workshop on Control & Manufacturing

World renowned- scientists and engineers will deliver keynote speeches at the “1994 Hong Kong International Workshop on New Directions of Control & 6. . I

Manufacturing”, held at the Victoria Hotel from 7 to 9 November 1994. HKUST’s Dr Xiren Cao, an Electrical & Electronic Engineering reader, is the chairman of the workshop.

The workshop, organised by the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology together with the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the IEEE Hong Kong Section, will provide a forum for worldwide researchers and practitioners to discuss new trends in the fields of control and manufacturing, as well as to disseminate new ideas and technologies in these fields through Hong Kong, China and East Asia.

Ten eminent speakers come from the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering (USA), the Royal Society of Canada, (‘;‘r the Academy of Science of China and the National Science Foundation (NSF) of the

United States. The workshop also includes presentations of contributed papers from around the world and a panel discussion.
