(8) Abstract Adaptive test based on knowledge structure saves the time on testing and the number of item. However, the method of linking various tests, which is based on knowledge structure, has not been developed. When a lot of units need to test , method of linking can reducing unit and saving cost. Thus, this study aims to design a method and assesses method of linking effect.530 students of an elementary school are tested with the unit “divisors and multiple.” The results are listed as follow: 1. Six linking methods are designed in this research. 2. Six linking methods compared with the paper pen test , all can achieve the purpose of decreasing the number of administrated items, and the accuracy is 95% if the number of item is 48., the reduced rate of administrated items is around 39%. While the number of item is 96, the reduced rate of administrated items is around 31%. Furthermore the research result has the good performance in reducing the examination time. 3. Compared the linking different adaptive test based on knowledge structure with the adaptive test based on knowledge structure, the comparison result is good and can achieve the purpose of saving the examination items. While the number of items is 48, it can save 1% - 9%. And the number of items can save 2% - 12%, if it is 96. Key words: knowledge structure, adaptive test, link , ordering theory.
