摘 要
世界生物力學大會為四年舉行一次的國際研討會,在歐洲、亞洲、及美國等
地區輪流舉辦,該研討會包含的研究領域有:生物學、物理學、數學……等,提
供學生到工程師等不同領域之研究員做研究交流,本次研討會超過 4000 人的參
與,並且超過 4200 篇的研究發表。本次研討會於 2014 年 07 月 06 日至 11 日在
美國波士頓舉行,會議內容包含包括基礎醫學到最頂尖的醫療設備等相關領域,
有助於未來國內進行相關研究之參考。
Abstract
The World Congress of Biomechanics (WCB) is an international meeting held one
time every four years, rotating among Europe, Asia and the Americas. The 7
thWCB
got engineers, scientists from various disciplines including biology, physics,
mathematics, computer science, chemistry and various clinical specialties together
again. Take the chances for researchers, engineers from industry, medical doctors,
academics, and students to join in the discussion. People who participated in this
congress were over 4000, and over 4200 presentations. This congress was held in
Boston, for a period of five days, from July 6 – 11, 2014. Applications include : basic
biology to the newest technologies. It will help for referring to the relevant research in
the future.

目 的
本次 WCB 囊括了醫學、工程、生物力學等領域,為了解目前各國在不同領
域中的研究成果,以及了解現今研究趨勢,因此參與這次研討會。該研討會為四
年所舉行一次的大型研討會,因此也聚集相當多的學者參與,可在研討會上認識
許多不同領域的專家,透過談話過程亦可以交流彼此的想法。另外,本實驗室也
投出三篇研究,並以海報方式發表,本人所投稿的 Effect of The Weighted Shoes on
The Impact Forces as Landing on The Ground in Heel-toe Running 為其中一篇。

*航班因為波士頓天候不佳而延誤,與聯合航空公司溝通後,我們在芝加哥
機場附近的飯店停留一晚,隔天再搭乘前往波士頓的班機,實際抵達波士頓時間
為 07 月 05 日 23:39,透過居住美國的朋友開車載我們到預訂的飯店。
07/04 恰巧為美國國慶日,走在芝加哥街頭隨處可以看到當地人為歡慶國慶
日的裝飾,甚至在路上也可以看到準備一同狂歡的美國人,顯現出美國人對於國
家的向心力。
輾轉抵達目的地後,我們購買當地的一周地鐵車票,前往活動會場進行報到,
帶回的資料僅一本大會手冊、個人識別證以及含有這次所有被發表的論文題目的

隨身碟一只。這次研討會超過 4000 人參與,有趣的是,當我們停留在各機場時,
都會遇到同樣要前往 WCB 的參與者,這種緣分實屬難得。
這次 WCB 的會議主要由以下四個部分組成,包括:Plenary Lectures, Podium
Sessions, Poster Presentations, 以及 Workshops,每天早上八點開始進行,在同一
時段共有 20 場的口頭發表同時進行,發表領域包含分子生物力學、細胞學、組
織學、器官學、材料/儀器學…等議題,詳細內容請參考最後的附表。指導老師
邱宏達老師專注在鞋子、運動器材、舉重等領域中,本次研討會在這方面的主題
較少,在運動鞋的演講中,可以發現不論研究或銷售市場中,輕量化仍舊是目前
的發展趨勢,達成輕量化目標的同時,勢必得犧牲鞋子某部分的功能,例如穩定
性等問題,或許在未來可以找出可以應用在鞋面輕量且堅固的材質。另一方面,
亦有學者提出反面的觀點─增加負重,我們實驗室也有針對這個方向做探討,而
Dr. Nigg 的實驗室亦有相似的研究,但是研究面向不同,也讓我注意到有些東
西是無法兼顧的,若未來有機會開發負重鞋,必須明確指出鞋子的目的,否則在
行銷上會產生相當大的問題。另外,我們實驗室在這次的研討會也投稿了三篇研
究,均以海報方式發表,發表題目如下:

波士頓是一個充滿文藝氣息的城市,也是一個充滿歷史的城市,在研討會之
餘前往哈佛、MIT 等優秀學府參觀,甚至踏上自由之路(Freedom Trail)了解美國
歷史發展。學習語言最快的方法就是直接到母語國家,沉浸在當地的氣氛跟環境
中,可以最快速的貼近當地語言,這部分也是這次出國收穫最大的部分。原本預
定 07 月 14 日(一)09:38 離開波士頓飛往華盛頓機場,有鑑於去程飛機誤點,擔
心無法及時趕上 12:20 起飛的班機,向航空公司更改班次。

心得及建議
首先,感謝本校頂尖大學計畫的經費補助,以及指導老師也替我們承擔部分
生活費用支出,使得這次出國可以減輕金錢負擔。第一次遠赴他鄉參加大型研討
會,指導老師也表示這次研討會參與人數有別於以往,超過 4000 人的盛況也是
第一次看到。本次研討會主題大多著重在醫學方面,包含傷害以及復健輔助器材
等,對於下肢跑步及競技運動動作分析等方面的主題較少,但在海報發表卻意外
發現國外學者也與我們實驗室進行著類似的實驗,對於我們之後進行相關研究的
延伸有相當大的幫助,在海報發表中,也看到一些學者會將海報內容以 A4 大小
影印數分,放在自己的海報旁提供有興趣的研究人員自由索取,這樣的小巧思蠻
值得效仿的。
在芝加哥停留的那天恰巧是美國國慶日,在街頭上到處都可以看到沉浸在這

份喜悅的美國居民。波士頓是一個古老的城市,在參與研討會之餘,也參觀了幾
個當地著名的景點,而波士頓給我的感覺跟台南很像,在錯綜複雜的巷弄間,訴
說著這個城市、這個國家所經歷過的過去,他們以他們的方式緬懷過去,這些交
錯在街道上的過去是他們驕傲的曾經。
除了在研討會上得到的資訊外,在波士頓的生活體驗對我來說都是一個很棒
的經歷,讓我體會到世界是最棒的老師,現今社會我們需要的是國際觀,跨出國
境體驗不同文化的同時,也可以激勵自己有不同的想法及觀點,除了國際觀之外,
更重要的是需要良好的外語能力,由於環境的關係,在台灣較難有口說的練習機
會,我想在國內提供一個英語溝通的環境,對於出國留學或參與研討會的同學有
很大的幫助。
