all day but it isn’t too hot.

We’re staying in a really good villa. The beach is just outside our bedroom. Uncle James loves diving. I can’t swim so I just go sunbathing. I also enjoy walking under the trees. Yesterday we visited a village. Most of the villagers grow vegetables but some make souvenirs to sell.

We bought a wooden mask for you!

Michael Ho, our reporter, recently interviewed Clara Lau, the winner of the 2015 1 Golden Dragon Award for Best Actress.

Clara: I was shocked! I couldn’t believe it! 5

Michael: Who else do you want to thank?

Clara: My parents. At first they didn’t think acting was good for me. My father was even angry with me. But now my parents are my number one fans.

I must also thank my husband, Leo. When things are difficult, he does many things to support me.

Michael: What difficulties did you have when making Moonlight Dancer?

Clara: That wasn’t an easy film for me because there were many dance scenes.

Before making the film, I had to take dance lessons 8 hours a day for 3 months. So every night I felt like I had run a very long race.

Clara: Never. I didn’t even join the Drama Club at school. My dream was to

Michael: Then how did you get started as an actress?

Clara: I left school at 17 to make money. My results were good, but I needed to work to support my family. So I became a clerk at a TV company.

One day a director asked me to play a small role as a policewoman in

a TV drama. That’s how I got started. 15

Michael: What advice would you give to young actresses?

Clara: Be prepared to work hard and never give up.

Michael: Congratulations again! Thanks for sharing your experiences.
