Value of retail sales totalled MOP 18.01 billion, down by 13.4% as compared with the revised figure of MOP 20.79 billion in the first quarter of 2018, yet up by 23.7% year-on-year. For the first half year of 2018, value of retail sales increased by 24.9% year-on-year to MOP 38.79 billion.

Automotive Fuels
After removing the effects of price changes, volume of retail sales decreased by 14.2% quarter-to-quarter but increased by 21.3% year-on-year.
Among the major retail trade activities, sales volume of Communication Equipment, Leather Goods, Goods in Department Stores and Motor Vehicles registered notable year-on-year growth. For the first half year of 2018, volume of retail sales grew by 22.4% year-on-year.
