Value of retail sales totalled MOP 20.74 billion, rising by 8.7% as compared with the revised figure of MOP 19.08 billion in the fourth quarter of 2017 and by 25.7% year-on-year.

After removing the effect of price changes, volume of retail sales increased by 8.3% quarter-to-quarter and 23.0% year-on-year. Sales volume of Communication Equipment, Motor Vehicles, Leather Goods and Adults' Clothing registered notable year-on-year growth, while that of Goods in Supermarkets saw a decrease.
