- The general unemployment rate held stable as in the previous period (April-June 2017), at 2.0%; the unemployment rate of local residents was 2.8%, up by 0.1 percentage point. Meanwhile, the underemployment rate remained unchanged at 0.4%.
- The general labour force participation rate was 71.4% and the labour force participation rate of local residents was 65.5%, up by 0.2 and 0.3 percentage points respectively from the previous period.
- Total employment was 384,100 and number of employed residents totalled 282,600, up by 1,800 and 1,600 respectively. Number of the unemployed was 8,000, up by 100.
