Astronauts’ Life in Outer Space

Since the first human landed on the moon, more and more people have flown into space. Do you know astronauts’ life there?

The place where astronauts work is a space station. Living there is never easy. When sleeping, astronauts need to tie their sleeping bags to the walls to keep themselves from floating around. Also, astronauts have to recycle water every day because it’s hard to get water in space. With a special machine, they even can make the dirty water from the restroom clean again.

Astronauts sometimes need to stay on the space station for several months. To pass the time, they work, read, exercise, or even talk to their family. During their stay, they have three meals a day, just like what they do on Earth. But they don’t need to cook food themselves; they just heat up the food.

People used to think the idea of going into space was crazy. Today, space travel is possible even if you are not an astronaut. The price is not low, however. If you can afford it, don’t forget to take pictures of our beautiful planet.
