Non-resident workers totalled 181,345 at the end of the first quarter, up by 1,889 quarter-to-quarter.

Total population was 656,700, an increase of 3,600 quarter-to-quarter; female population accounted for 53.0% of the total.

There were 1,414 live births delivered, a decrease of 268 quarter-to-quarter. The sex ratio at birth stood at 117.2. Mortality totalled 513, down by 33 quarter-to- quarter.
