Average earnings (excluding bonuses) of full-time employees in September rose by 4.8% year-on-year to MOP26,890; resident and non-resident employees earned an average of MOP26,650 and MOP28,750 respectively.
Bank tellers totalled 724, with average earnings of MOP16,330, up by 5.6% year-on-year.
Job vacancies stood at 238, similar to a year earlier; 95.4% of the vacancies required tertiary education, and requirement for knowledge of Mandarin and English accounted for 90.8% and 94.1% respectively.

the employee recruitment rate (4.8%) and the employee turnover rate (4.6%) rose by 0.4 and 1.2 percentage points respectively year-on-year, indicating that the manpower situation of the Banking Sector was relatively stable in this quarter.

Survey on Manpower Needs and Wages Banking Sector 3 Difference
Almost 80% of the banks provided vocational training to their employees. In the third quarter, a total of 237 courses were organised and number of participants increased by 11.7% year-on-year to 9,430; 59.7% of the participants attended courses after office hours.
The majority of the participants (81.3%) attended Business & Administration courses, followed by Law courses (15.4%).
About 90.7% of the participants attended courses organised by the banks, and almost all participants were employer-sponsored.
